Synopsis



The story of a deception in the Olympic Games, and love, and loyalty.

Edipo makes a mistake; but he has saved Aurelio's life. Aurelio wins the Olympics, but with victory loses his loved one. How will it work out?

Aristea, soprano. Daughter of the King and prize for the Olympic Games.
Aurelio, mezzo-soprano. Olympic Champion uner a false name.
Clisthene, mezzo-soprano. King of Elis, hosting the Olympic Games
Argene, contralto. Royal beauty disguised at first as a shepherdess.
Edipo, tenor. Supposed Prince of Crete but actual son of Clisthene and brother of Aristea.

Alcandro, baritone. Minister to the King.
Enrico, baritone. Tutor and companion to Edipo.
